Ferrari introduces the 296GTB and 296GTS, hybrid sports cars with a mid-mounted turbocharged V-6 and electric motor. The hybrid powertrain produces a combined 819 horsepower and offers a melodic sound. The 296 models showcase Ferrari’s commitment to innovation and adapting to the future of electrification. The 2024 models (GTB and GTS) have no significant changes from the previous year.

The hybrid system consists of a turbocharged V-6 and a plug-in-hybrid setup, delivering 819 horsepower to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both coupe and convertible can drive on electricity alone, drawing power from a 6.0-kWh battery pack under the floor. The 8500-rpm redline offers a visceral driving experience, with the convertible enhancing the sensation at high speeds. Four drive modes (eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify) provide varying performance characteristics. Features include communicative electrically assisted power steering, a brake-by-wire system, and optional carbon-fiber rims for lighter wheels.

Pricing for the 2024 Ferrari 296 is expected to start at $338,255, with the convertible (GTS) estimated at $372,000.
