Luxury Morgan Roadster Designed by Pininfarina
The Morgan Plus Six Midsummer is a limited-run special edition with a Barchetta-styled hand-beaten aluminum body, inspired by designs of the 1930s and 1940s.
The car features a pair of sleek aero screens in place of a conventional windshield, longer rear tails, and round headlights incorporating turn signals and daytime running lights. It is equipped with disc-like wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires, specifically designed to improve aerodynamics. The 19-inch forged wheels save weight and contribute to the car’s overall weight of just 2,204 lbs before adding fluids. The interior is adorned with teak, with the dashboard featuring 126 layers and each door card having 120 layers.
The engine used is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six BMW “B58” engine generating 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Power is delivered through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. Although pricing specifics were not officially disclosed, reports indicate that owners paid anywhere between $152,000 and $190,000 based on configurations.
Production of the Midsummer started in the year of the update and is planned to end in 2025, with a public debut scheduled for July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
