Hennessey has announced the wild Venom F5 Revolution Roadster as a track-focused, open-top version of their F5 hypercar. Just 12 will be produced at $ 3 million a pop. This is also a chance for buyers to get a F5 as both the coupe and roadster of the “regular” F5 lineup were sold out. The removable roof weighs just 18 lbs and the whole car is shown off here in optional bare carbon, just 1 of 5 to be made. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It consists of a custom-built 90-degree Twin Turbo V8 producing 1,817HP @8,000RPM and 1,193 lb-ft of torque at 5,500RPM. The custom engine is made from a cast iron block with aluminum heads and titanium intakes. The Turbos have 3D-printed titanium housings pushing 23PSI of boost. This all is paired to a 7-speed CIMA single clutch gearbox to the rear wheels. Hennessy has run simulations projecting 0-60 in 2.6sec, 0-124MPH in 4.7sec, 0-186MPH in 8.4sec, 0-248 in 15.5sec and they hope to reach 311MPH. They plan to run a highly statistical test next year to avoid an SSC disaster.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Most of the changes come in the form of suspension and aerodynamics. Out back is a full-width rear wing with USA-branded endplates. This new wing increases the force to over 800lbs at 186MPH and 1,400lbs at 249MPH. Up front is a new carbon splitter and out back is a massive rear diffuser. There also are new dive planes, a roof scoop, and a revised double wishbone suspension with adjustable dampers. There also are new larger wheels and onboard track telemetry.
