The Nyobolt EV concept features a battery pack that can be fully recharged in less than 6 minutes, providing a range of around 155 miles (250 km). This represents a significant breakthrough in electric vehicle charging times, as even the fastest-charging cars currently in production cannot match this level of rapid recharging.

Nyobolt claims its new battery technology has been tested for over 2,000 fast charge cycles with no significant battery degradation. The company also notes that such ultra-fast charging speeds will require 1 MW chargers to become available.

The Nyobolt EV concept was designed by Julian Thomson, the designer of the original Lotus Elise, and developed in collaboration with Callum, a British design and engineering company. The concept aims to deliver a lightweight, high-performance electric sports car with a compact battery pack that can be recharged in a matter of minutes.
