The 2025 Kia K4 is set to replace the Kia Forte and Rio as Kia’s most affordable vehicle, with production starting in Mexico and sales expected in the third quarter of 2024. This new compact sedan is larger than its predecessor, featuring a sleek design with vertical headlights and a fastback roofline. It will be available in five trims: LX, LXS, GT-Line, GT-Line Turbo, and a new EX trim with a unique interior color option.
The K4 retains the powertrains from the Forte, including a base 2.0-liter Atkinson four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower and a 1.6-liter turbo-four option with 190 horsepower. Notably, there will be no hybrid version, although an all-electric model is planned for future release.
Inside, the K4 boasts advanced features such as a 12.3-inch driver display, a matching infotainment screen, and an AI voice assistant that enhances user interaction. Additional amenities include rotatable cupholders and multiple USB outlets. Pricing details will be announced closer to the launch, but it is expected to start above the Forte’s price of $21,145.
