The Huayra Roadster is a unique car that holds a special place in the heart of the entire Pagani team. This is because it was the first Roadster to be lighter than its Coupé counterpart. The weight reduction was made possible thanks to a comprehensive redesign of all components and the creation of new advanced composite materials, such as Carbo-Triax HP52 combined with Carbo-Titanium. These innovations allowed the team to reduce the car’s weight by 80 kg (176.37 lb) compared to the previous Coupé version while also increasing its rigidity by 52%. The project was challenging and engaging and took six years to complete.
