As cars get more and more powerful and advanced, concepts like the Mercedes Hybrid Supercar seem less extravagant. UK designer Yicheng Fan has envisioned a futuristic hatchback with a transparent roof that looks like something out of a fighter jet design. Almost everything about the Mercedes Hybrid Supercar is cutting edge, save for its gullwing doors. The German car company has been showing interest in this type of design for years.
There is nothing to highlight about the characteristics of this concept, but looking at this car it is deduced that it is destined to have extraordinary performance. The front end has huge air intakes to redirect airflow and cool the brakes. The diffuser at the rear ensures that the Mercedes Hybrid Supercar stays attached to the track. The supercar’s design may seem wild and imaginative, but even if it doesn’t, it’s based on reality. Mercedes is currently developing its own F1-inspired hybrid hypercar with over 1,000 horsepower and a one-of-a-kind look.
