Created to be a personal shuttle for visitors and VIPs to the Ingolstadt plant, the Audi A3 XXL convertible started off as two standard A3 convertibles with just two doors. From there, Audi added four more doors and joined the front of one car to the rear of the other in order to accommodate eight passengers. Not surprisingly, Audi has no plans of putting the A3 XXL into production but it does give limousine companies something to think about – just imagine this thing rolling down the streets of Las Vegas!

The rear axle is made swivel to reduce the turning radius. The car was built by three Audi AG employees along with a team of apprentices. Rear-wheel steering was added to help the elongated car handle tight corners. The A3 XXL is not street-legal and the roof is no longer functional; it stays down all the time.
