BMW M is developing its first all-electric performance sedan, featuring a quad-motor powertrain capable of up to 1,341 hp. The car, expected to debut around 2026-2027, will be based on the Neue Klasse platform and is designed to outperform all previous models with an 800-volt electrical architecture for ultra-fast charging. The new EV will offer advanced dynamics with precise torque control at each wheel and aims to achieve less than 3 seconds of 0-60 mph acceleration. A two-motor version and an electric SUV are also in consideration.
