To mark the centenary of the Alfa Romeo-Zagato partnership, which began in 1921 with the TIPO G1, the Milanese Atelier chose to create a new model. This special edition was designed to commemorate the current Alfa Romeo production of Giulia and Stelvio, and their legendary 6-cylinder engine in its latest GTAm evolution. It features a two-door Coupé Zagato body in carbon fiber and a shortened wheelbase.
The project was of great interest to a German customer, who was chosen from among Zagato collectors and had many Alfa Romeos in his garage, including an 8C Competizione. He also drove several Granturismo Zagato models, including an Alfa Romeo S.Z.

This new edition was named “SWB” due to its shortened wheelbase, developed in-house by Zagato from the Giorgio modular floorplan of the Giulia and Stelvio. It is a natural evolution of the Alfa Romeo SZ models, starting with the Codatronca version, born in 1961 and dominating its GT Class in 1962-1963, up to the more recent S.Z. After a photo shoot on the ‘La Pista’ circuit in Arese, the car will be officially handed over to the customer, thus completing an essential year for Zagato and celebrating a collaboration that has resulted in over 150 models of the highest collector’s value.
