The Cadillac brand is making strides in the EV market with the introduction of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq. The Optiq is a smaller counterpart to the Cadillac Lyriq, built on the same Ultium EV platform but in a package about the same size as the upcoming Equinox EV, making it approximately 7” shorter. It comes with a standard dual motor AWD and an 89 kWh Li-ion battery pack, providing a range of up to 300 miles. With twin electric motors, this SUV offers 288 HP and 333 lb/ft of torque.
The interior will feature a large 33” curved OLED display with built-in Google integration, but it won’t support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Super Cruise, a pano sunroof, AKG Premium Sound, and AWD will be standard in every Optiq when it goes on sale later this year.
The starting price is around $54k, which is $4k less than its larger counterpart, the Lyriq. However, when equipped with similar features, the Lyriq’s price exceeds $70k. Therefore, Cadillac is offering a slightly smaller luxury SUV with a wealth of tech features for about $15k less than the Lyriq.
