The Corvette started a new mid-engine chapter back in 2020 with the all-new C8 Corvette and today introducing the first-ever CorvetteERay for 2024! This Hybrid AWD ERay takes the 6.2L OHV V8 from the Corvette Stingray and pairs it with a powerful 160 HP electric motor at the front axle. A small 1.9 kWh Li-On battery pack lives between the two front seats and is designed to quickly charge and discharge the result is 655 HP and an electronic AWD system that can allow the Hybrid Corvette to drive on EV power alone at speeds up to 45 mph at light throttle applications for up to 3-4 miles.
There’s even a Stealth and Shuttle Mode that allows for EV-only start-ups when you don’t want to annoy your neighbors in the mornings or evenings. The wider body of the Z06 gives the E-Ray more visual presence and this car also comes standard with the widest all-season tire in production, with the rears measuring a massive 345/25/R21 on a Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4+ ZP. Pricing begins at $104k, while this well-optioned 3LZ Convertible in this lovely Cacti Green w/ Artemis full leather interior stickers for $126,725. Not cheap, but still a lot less expensive than the 2022 Acura NSX Type S and more powerful and quicker to boot!
