The significantly revamped 2024 Volkswagen Atlas, specifically an SEL Premium R-Line model in Aurora Red Metallic with quilted black leather upholstery and standard 4Motion all-wheel drive.
It’s a nice upgrade, very Audi-esque inside. We always liked the spaciousness and width of this Tennessee-built 3-row SUV, but the Atlas now benefits from better interior materials, a 12-inch floating infotainment display, and a revamped center console with a storage cubby underneath. Also notable: The new turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder feels healthy, a fine substitute for the discontinued V6.
While we wish the new Atlas had traditional volume and station knobs for the Harman Kardon stereo, it does have handy sliders beneath the big touchscreen for temperature and fan-speed settings.
Loaded with safety features and the latest IQ. Drive technology suite that includes adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking, this top-of-the-line Volkswagen Atlas has an MSRP of $52,455.
