The Piëch GT, a two-plus-two-seater, is scheduled for launch in 2028. It will feature a 1000-hp engine and is expected to be priced at $200,000 or more.
Currently, the project is still in the full-size clay model stage, with the goal of breaking even before the end of the decade. Piëch Automotive, founded in 2017, previously showcased the Mark Zero at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show. The Mark Zero was powered by innovative Chinese lithium-ion batteries. The company was founded by Rea Stark Rajcic and Anton M. Piëch, with limited involvement from Ferdinand Piëch.
After an initial collapse, the company was relaunched with Tobias Moers and Ralph Illenberger. The new design incorporates a blend of British, German, and modern elements, with an emphasis on customization and driving experience. The vehicle’s underpinnings include a straightforward multi-link suspension, featuring a unique Piëch Dual2Drive layout for power distribution. Innovative battery and cooling systems are expected to deliver track performance and rapid charging.
The modular architecture allows for various body styles, with the initial batch planned for release between 2028 and 2029. Pivotal funding from the Middle East is crucial for future growth, with the aim of achieving profitability by 2030. Collaboration with Bosch Engineering Group ensures integration of hardware and software for an enhanced driving experience.
