The 2025 Mazda CX-70 is a mid-size SUV that is positioned between the smaller CX-60 and the larger CX-90. It offers a sportier driving experience compared to other SUVs in its class, with two turbocharged inline-six engine options producing up to 340 horsepower, as well as a plug-in hybrid variant.
The CX-70 has a similar design to the CX-90 but with a more coupe-like roofline and the third row of seats removed, focusing on second-row legroom and cargo space. It is available in several trim levels, with the top-end Premium Plus models featuring luxurious features like Nappa leather upholstery and a digital instrument cluster.

Mazda has aimed to imbue the CX-70 with some of the driving dynamics of the iconic Miata sports car, and reviewers found the SUV to have well-weighted steering, plenty of power, and a firm chassis that allows for spirited handling, though the transmission can be slow to respond at times. The CX-70 also offers good towing capacity, with the PHEV rated for 3,500 pounds and the turbocharged models capable of up to 5,000 pounds when equipped with the tow package.
