It resembles the ZL1, the supercharged monster at the top of the Camaro line, from the front. It has the popular pre-facelift headlamps, a chin spoiler, and an oversized bottom air inlet with a honeycomb grille.

Based on the GM Alpha platform, the new Camaro is 200 pounds lighter than the model it replaces. Additionally, it has a 10-speed auto, CarPlay, and more improved suspension technology. It was named 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year, and for 2017, the 1LE package for the standard SS was brought back with retuned magnetic dampers, 6-piston brakes, forged wheels, and an additional radiator, all for $45,000.
